Job Function
The purpose of the role is to monitor the effective execution of the daily load plan whilst ensuring effective customer communication.
Key Performance Areas
- Ensure daily route plans deliver optimal productivity and service levels.
- Constant monitoring of execution of the daily load plan via the tracking system and telephonic communication with drivers.
- Immediately notify DC leadership of any breakdowns during the shift and follow up on corrective action to be taken.
- Monitor planned vs actual start up times for each shift.
- Provides immediate support for any customer queries received through the call centre.
- Ensure all issues identified during the shift are captured and shared with the customer.
- Ensure effective communication across all affected channels.
- Ensure all customer delays are communicated as per the standard operating process.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across numerous levels of the business, drivers and DC staff.

Qualifications Required
Grade 12 but a degree would be advantageous.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in an FMCG transport environment would be advantageous
- Computer Literacy
- Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of and experience in: Vehicle Tracking and telematics
- Transport planning principles, practices and tools.
- Above average interpersonal, analytical and investigative skills
- Confident, energetic and able to work under pressure
- Problem solving skills and analytical ability
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Must be organised and passionate about customer service
- Must be willing able and willing to work shifts
