Practice Plus is a medical billing and administration service provider offering a practice management and billing service to medical specialists.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Contact patients, medical aids, and other health care practitioners / payers (e.g. Workman's Compensation) to follow up on outstanding payments.
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
- Review and analyse billing data to identify payment trends and issues.
- Collaborate with other teams within the company to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients / patients to ensure timely payments are received and to resolve any issues.
- Provide regular reports to management on outstanding payments and billing trends.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the billing process and reduce outstanding payment.
- Keep abreast of changes in medical aid and healthcare payer regulations that may affect the billing process.
Qualifications and skills:
- Matric pass
- Qualification in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in Credit Control, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures and regulations in South Africa.
- Knowledge of medical aid schemes and healthcare payer regulations in South Africa
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge of billing software preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work efficiently.

Job Types:
