    About the Role:



    We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at PerformIT Personnel in Port Elizabeth. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a combination of manual and automated testing approaches.

    Responsibilities:



    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and Cucumber.
    • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
    • Execute automated tests and analyse results to identify and report software defects.
    • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in automated testing.

    Requirements:



    • Grade 12 (Matric) + Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Software Testing or similar.
    • ISTQB certification or equivalent will be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
    • Strong proficiency in Cypress and Cucumber frameworks for automated testing.
    • Excellent manual testing skills with attention to detail.
    • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
    • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
    • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Understanding of Agile development processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    Preferred Skills:



    • Experience with additional testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium).
    • Knowledge of JavaScript and Vue.js.
    • Familiarity with BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) practices.
    • Experience with performance and security testing.
