Description

Responsibilities

Drafting and checking documents, attending to the signing of documents, registration of final accounts, and despatching documents to clients. OTP to registration.

Assisted communication with all parties in the process.

Knowledge of and experience in transfers and ancillary deeds registry transactions.

Preparing files accurately and according to specifications.

Administering and organizing the bond practice.

Preparing final accounts and despatching documents to clients.

Liaising with clients, registrar deeds office and internal deeds office clerk/driver, etc.

Conducts deeds and company searches.

Building relationships and networking.

Running and administrating own portfolio.

FICA administration, following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete.

Ensure the filing system is kept up to date (hard copy and electronic).

Academic/Skills/Experience

Healthy positive attitude.

Grade 12.

Legal secretary / conveyancing qualification is advantageous.

A minimum of 3 years of conveyancing experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience on Investec site compulsory, Nedbank, Standard Bank, and ABSA is advantageous.

In-depth knowledge of conveyancing software/systems such as: Lexis Convey, Lotus Notes, E4 (portal-based), and WinDeed.
