Professional Officer - Cemetery Management
Requirements:
- Relevant B degree Development/Urban Planning (with extensive
Public Management.
- 25 years' relevant experience within local government
analytics/systems development related to cemetery governance
and management.
- A valid Code EB driver's licence and own vehicle
- Computer Literacy
- Provides support for and a future understudy to the Head Cemetery
- Develops and maintains the performance management system
- Assists with planning for the future development of cemeteries and
- Assists and advises with the monitoring of the collection and input of
- Supports the departments research function and training initiatives
- Assists with communication with internal and external stakeholders
and that the Cemetery Division is well marketed
- Meets with Stakeholders eg. Religious forums, Heritage,
forums
- Assists with the development of legislative frameworks for interment
Standard Operating Procedures, reviewing the tariff schedule
annually and reviewing related ordinances and notices
- Provides support for the management of capital projects by
- Preparation and monitoring of relevant Tenders for procurement of
- Records Management of Cemetery and Crematoria Historical
