Description
The overall function of this position is to provide end to end consolidation and control of activities for break-bulk.

Receiving all Consolidation pre-alerts, separating shipments and distribution to respective controllers.

Breakbulk Costing and Verification of Overseas Invoices

Arrange RIB bulk entry in liaison with customs department.

Arrange with transport department for movement of Consolidations from respective airline handling agents to de-grouping facility.

Ensure respective systems data capturing is completed accurately and timeously i.e. Cargowise.

Monitoring and control on to ensure SOPS are followed and KPIs are met.

Handling of hand-over shipments.

Leasing with airlines to ensure correct information is on hand for all shipments.

Compliances to be achieved as per the Company KPIs including but not limited to: IRIS, RCG, DETI & CMP.


Minimum Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12.

Minimum 5 Years' experience in break-bulk handling or similar role.

Systems knowledge essential on the following:
AWAICS.

Cargowise/NextGen experience an advantage.

Clearing and forwarding experience will be an advantage.

Microsoft knowledge.

Must have a general understanding of the day-to-day functioning of a bond-store.

Time-keeping is essential ensuring timeous handling of processes.

Ability to work under pressure.

Problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work across various departments.

Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Own transport.

Must be able to work overtime and weekend as and when required.
