    Overview

    Alstom, a leading company in the mobility sector, is seeking an experienced Product Introduction Engineering Specialist to join our team in Kimberley. As a specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of Alstom products at customer sites and providing technical expertise to various stakeholders.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in electrical/electromechanical engineering, who can troubleshoot and repair complex systems. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will work closely with internal teams and external partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Troubleshooting of Alstom products at customer sites to ensure their availability
    • Providing technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support teams, project team members, and less experienced personnel
    • Effective performance of Troubleshooting, repairs, Field modifications, and testing activities
    • Carrying out Fleet check activities through TCMS data analysis and physical inspections
    • Reporting and registering any deviations in Failure Management database including configuration data
    • Supporting operation helpdesk
    • Executing test and troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and performing failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair
    • Adhering to all Fleet Maintenance and Product Introduction processes, procedures, and relevant SOPs during the performance of work activity and presence on work sites

    Requirements

    • B.Tech Engineer (Electrical / Electromechanical)
    • Minimum 10 years working experience in a electrical/electronic/pneumatic testing environment
    • Environment, Health, and Safety knowledge/exposure
    • Hands-on Test & Commissioning, fault finding & repair experience
    • Working experience in Mechanical and Electrical Fault-finding
    • Experience in analytical fault reporting and report writing
    • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
    • Experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation

    Salary Estimate

    R550,000 - R650,000 per annum
