    Operations Management Role

    The position of Operations Manager at a Large Meat Processing Plant requires a candidate with a relevant three-year qualification in Food Sciences or a related field.

    Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining SHEQ policies.

    This includes ensuring compliance with company production and QA policies while minimizing stock shrinkage.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
    • Ensure adherence to Health and Environmental regulations
    • Manage and control shift changes
    • Maintain a safe working environment

    Requirements:

    • Three-year qualification in Food Sciences or a related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
    • Experience in the meat industry is essential
    • Sound knowledge of Health and Environmental regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14000, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Implementation of SANS10330 and HACCP for products handled on site

    Working Conditions:

    The successful applicant will initially be required to work night shifts.
