Job Summary

  • To assist in Administering of the specified Project Management Tool not limited to:
oTemplates - Incorporating the continually changing landscape for Business which entails updating and creating new Project schedule templates. (Across all Clusters and Business Units for SI and BAU projects.)

oSecurity - Catering for organisational structure and security changes and aligning Project Management tools to be in sync.

oProject Data - extracting specific ad-hoc project information sharing.

oCommunication - Assist in communicating project/program/portfolio information across Business Units inclusive of our Africa Continient Stakeholders.

oResource Pool - Updating the Resource Pool and keeping aligned with ABSA's bespoke Project and Program Management system.

oReporting - Producing and updating customised reports.


oSupport - To provide support the Projects on tools, methodologies and frameworks on their day-to-day activities and ensure systems are updated and syncronised with ABSA's bespoke Project and Program Management system "Planex".

oTraining - To continually upskill the users by training, guiding, and assisting all users. Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Stakeholders and Stakeholders across the Africa continient.

oAssist in Identifing Project Management frameworks best suited for projects and programmes.

oAssist in setting up of projects from a tools and best practice perspective.


Job Description:


  • In depth knowledge on Project Management Tools, Frameworks and best practices
  • Training of users (All Project Stakeholders)
  • Assist with New onboarding of resources (Training, setups, licence requirements
  • If Agile menthodogies are utilsed. Ensuring Scrum or Kanban set ups are conducted
  • Sprint Planning training and reviews are conducted correctly.
  • Guidance on User story writing and tasks or activities tracking is performed correctly.
  • Ensure clear roles are assigned to projects based on the chosen methodology.
  • Perform checks of restropectives and demo's.
  • Ensure roles are aligned to choosen methodology across portfolio.
  • Ensure story points allocation is performed correctly and volicity can be measured.
  • Report at a portfolio view.
  • Design of templates in accordance to best practices.
  • Guide Projects to ensure the PM is his will Keeping Project Online syncronised with Planex. (Planex is the golden source of Project metadata)
  • Validating the "schedule content" across all projects for discrepancies and contentious issues/tasks that are not following our "Best Practice" and guiding principles.
Education

Higher Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
