Balderstone Sports Institute requires the services of a live-in Boarding House HouseKeeping Manager for our student-athlete accommodation in Edenvale.

The Manager is responsible for overseeing day to day management of the facility operations, housekeeping operations, provision of meals, management of the boarding house staff, and safe and effective supervision of students, all to deliver an exceptional boarding experience.

• Overseeing Housekeeping/Laundry operations.
• Procurement and preparation of meals and management of mealtimes.
• Operate within budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules.
• Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of responsibility.
• Perform daily inspections of all housekeeping areas.
• Effectively implement all policies and procedures including Health and Safety and security
• Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all boarding staff with an emphasis on training and team work.
• Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Management of the household inventory and inventory list.
• Regular maintenance and upkeep of all cleaning equipment.

• Housekeeping and catering experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• Ability to provide a caring but disciplined home away from home environment.
• High level of cost control capabilities
• Proficiency, at a basic level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Committed to delivering high levels of service
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse cultures.
• Effective communication with management, staff and clients.
• Knowledge of Workplace, Health, Safety and Hygiene is essential
• A very high level of attention to detail
