    Business Analyst - Card Payment Solutions

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at mpilo-technologies-pty-ltd. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements for card payment solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop clear business requirements, user stories, process flows, and data mappings.
    • Work closely with technology teams to ensure successful implementation of payment solutions across various channels (POS, e-commerce, mobile, ATM).
    • Analyze and enhance card payment processing to ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, PSD2, EMV, AML, and other banking/insurance regulations.
    • Develop solutions related to acquiring & issuing banks, payment gateways, chargebacks, and fraud prevention.
    • Support projects related to open banking, digital wallets, embedded payments, and contactless payments.
    • Align card payments with banking products (credit cards, loans, accounts, risk management, fraud detection, etc.).
    • Support insurance payment processing, including premium collections, claims payouts, and refunds.
    • Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and present findings to key stakeholders.
    • Engage with compliance, risk, and fraud teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
    • Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements in payment and claims processing.
    • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation support.
    • Support change management initiatives and training related to payment solutions.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or insurance industry.
    • Strong understanding of card payment processing, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and dispute resolution.
    • Experience with fraud detection, AML compliance, chargebacks, and risk management.
    • Familiarity with core banking or insurance systems and their integration with payment platforms.
    • Expertise in business process modeling (BPMN), Agile methodologies, and data analysis (SQL, API integration, etc.).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or PMP are a plus.
