Butcher Job summary

The Butcher's primary responsibility is to cut and trim the meat from larger, wholesale portions into steaks, chops, roasts, and other cuts.
They need to prepare food items for cooking according to standard recipes to ensure guest satisfaction is consistent with our standards.
To consistently foster a spirit of harmony and cohesion between the kitchen staff and service staff. Responsibilities Sharpen and adjust cutting equipment Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery Cut, bone, or grind pieces of meat Weigh, wrap, and display cuts of meat Cut or prepare meats to specification or customer's orders Store meats in refrigerators or freezers at the required temperature Keep inventory of meat sales and order meat supplies
Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
Prepares all food products according to the prescribed methods
Maintains the highest level of food quality available.
Receives and stores all products as prescribed.
Maintains a clean and safe kitchen. Follows all health and safety regulations.
Follows all Food & Beverage regulations.
Controls waste. Communicates all problems and ideas for improvement to management.
Communicates and works together with coworkers as a team.
Arrives on time and ready to work.
Attends all meetings.
Fills out all forms as prescribed.
Maintains all equipment and utensils.
Organizes all areas of the kitchen.
