Initial appointment in Cape Town, but medium-term relocation to Eastern Cape likely to be required

Reporting Structure:

Employment Status:
Limited Duration Contract

Remuneration:
Up to R25,000 pm

Application Requirements:

Qualifications:

Relevant Diploma in Health and Safety Management will be advantages.
SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certificate
Professional registration with SACPCMP
First Aid Level 2 Basic Certificate
Basic Fire Fighting
Environmental Training and experience.
SARF training
Valid driver's license plus own vehicle
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

Attributes and Skills

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be selfmotivated and energetic and be able to work with little or no supervision.
Willingness to work extra hours should the need arise.
Previous multisite experience is ideal
Attention to detail, being able to perform independently and as part of a Team.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in monitoring and auditing of contractor safety performances.
Experience of implementing Health and Safety in construction environment
Knowledge of OHSAS ISO 45001); ISO 14001 and ISO 900
Overall responsibility and compliance of the Company's H&S, making sure staff are aware of the importance and follow safety protocol.
Conduct/organise relevant health and safety training for staff as required
Conduct all "risk assessments" as required by legislation and are reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
To carry out investigations into all accidents and nearmiss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms
Compiling Traffic management plans and performing routine checks on the same.
