• Completed all necessary requirements and is registered with the _Department of Labour (DOL) _ as an _Installation Electrician (Yellow Card) or Master Installation Electrician (Red Card)_
• 2+ years of experience working as an electrician
• Experience in a supervisory role will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of Solar PV systems or able to learn quickly water heating systems experience will be an advantage
• Victron specific knowledge and experience will be an advantage
• Thorough understanding of OHS Act. (Occupational Health and Safety)
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Reliable transport
• No Criminal record
• Able to provide certified copies of educational and registration documentation
• Ability to commute/relocate (Pretoria area) before starting work (required)

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Proficient in MSExcel, MSWord, Outlook, etc.
• Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, etc.) experience will be an advantage

• Installation of Solar PV, backup power and water heating systems residential and commercial
• Plan, Lead, Organise and Control of an installation team
• Low voltage, single and 3phase AC and DC electrical design, specification and installation activities
• Conduct site visits and engage with client to ensure all preinstallation requirements have been taken into account and have been planned and costed for
• Configure and commission Solar PV, backup power and water heating systems for safe and efficient operation
• Carry out required tests and issue Electrical Certificate's of Compliance for installations
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on solar PV, backup power, load control and water heating systems
• Stay updated on professional qualifications and registrations, product knowledge, industry regulations & standards as well as other relevant industry developments
• Enable, by virtue of being a registered person as defined in the regulations, the registration of the company as an _Electrical Contractor _ with _Department of Labour (DOL)_
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing Solar PV, backup power and water heating systems
• Warranty and replacement administration activities including documentation and other activities related to warranty returns and/or repairs
• Provide training and technical support to clients on installed systems and maintain professional client relations
• Complete Job Cards, Commissioning Forms and any other documentation related to function
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that installations are completed on schedule and adhere to company standards
• Manage and control installation resources including vehicles, tools, instrumentation and other equipment
• Exercise _"general control" _ as defined in the OHAS Act over electrical installation work being carried out by the company including instruction, guidance and supervision in respect of such work
• Oversee the maintaining of good housekeeping and professional appearance of the installation team members, tools & equipment and vehicles
