    Head of People

    Lead the HR function across the Support Centre, Distribution Centre, and Store Operations structure for Power Fashion . With broad generalist Human Resources experience at a senior level, you will be expected to bring demonstrable strategic people experience along with the ability to drive a culture of high-performance collaboration and trust. You will partner with the Group Centre of Excellence - HR specialist teams and business leaders to deliver strategic group HR imperatives.

    Strategy:

    Formulate and lead the Divisional people strategy and implement key people imperatives to ensure the strategic goals are met.

    Monitor and implement HR processes to ensure consistency, compliance and minimized risks to the business. Set up and monitor the People budget within the company. Support Directors, Executives, and line managers for HR advice.

    Leadership:

    Lead and drive a team of HRBP's (HR Business Partners) in their respective areas to achieve the People strategy and to support line managers with all HR interventions in a consistent manner. Set clear and transparent expectations, including exhibiting the culture and values of the business, to achieve/exceed KPIs (key performance indicators).

    Identify and drive training needs, coaching and development with a key focus on talent management, performance management and succession planning for the team. Create a team culture that is responsive and professional meeting deadlines and providing a business-focused service to internal/external customers.

    Talent Acquisition & Retention:

    Recruit and effectively onboard suitable candidates for the division in collaboration with group recruitment. Implement recruitment strategies to support homegrown philosophy and to ensure that candidates employed both internally and externally are competent to perform the tasks of their roles. Ensure induction and onboarding interventions are in place and implemented. Implement retention strategies to motivate associates.

    Talent Management & Development:

    Develop and implement the training strategy for the company in collaboration with the Academy and external training providers and/or consultants. Compliance with regards to Workplace skills plan. Ensuring succession planning is in place. Ensure performance management tools are in place. Ensure that roles are clarified and communicated. Ensure compliance to benefits are in line with Group and company policies.

    Culture & Change Management:

    Monitor the culture within the division and utilize feedback from the Culture Survey to develop and initiate interventions to improve areas of concern. Implement the culture calendar activities to ensure communication to the business on our values, such as department communication sessions (Real Talk), culture (Dreams & Beliefs) workshops, and culture stories. Oversee the management of change as it relates to people by driving the implementation and execution of change management processes.

    Employee Relations:

    Implement ER policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistency and fairness across the division. Handle ER issues at senior associate levels. Monitor the ER environment including potential union activity in the division. Oversee all CCMA and Labour court matters for the division. Ensure compliance with relevant in-country Acts that govern people management.

  • A completed Degree majoring in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology
  • 8-10 years of HR Business Partnering experience including 3+ years at a Senior Management level
  • Retail Industry experience is advantageous.
