Mandarin Speaking Senior Reporting Accountant

Hire Resolve's client, a renowned mining company, seeks a highly skilled Mandarin speaking senior reporting accountant.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports according to accounting standards
Timeous and accurate monthly, quarterly, half-year, and full-year reporting in Mandarin to Hong Kong
Calculate, prepare, and submit relevant taxes
Manage external auditors' relations outside of South Africa
Assist internal auditors with supply information from Hong Kong/China
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Manage the financial close process and perform month-end and year-end activities
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
Monitor and review accounting processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff

Requirements:

Bcom in Accounting or related field, CA/SA, or MBA
Minimum 5 years' experience in finance-related roles within the mining industry, with 2 years at management level
Fluent in English and Mandarin
Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and SAP
Thorough understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
International tax and forex regulations
Advanced knowledge of financial systems and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
