R R Monthly Basic Salary

We are seeking a SHE Officer for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

National Diploma in Safety Management or similar
Samtrac / Auditors Certificate and training in environmental law and OHS Act
Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety systems, company processes, relevant legislation, financial concepts and risk management

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Implement, update, verify and maintain an effective environmental, safety and health system to comply with local and international standards
Monthly reporting and analysis
Manage all aspects of SHE legislation
Management preparedness and responses
Coordinate and control fire prevention and protection
Coordinate all contractors on site according to the new construction regulations
Ensure availability of competent first aiders
Visual presence in plants
