Key Responsibilities:


The HR Supervisor occupies a key operational role in delivering support and tactical people management interventions to enable and entrench the transformational people leadership journey.

Accountable to the Human Resource
Department, the incumbent interfaces with operational line leadership and their teams to deliver efficient and quality HR support in relation to Talent Management, Employee
Relations, Attendance management, Talent Acquisition, Leadership, and change initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Have a Grade 12/ Matric certificate.
  • Preferably white / indian or coloured in order to exercise and promote equality in the workplace.
  • Tertiary qualified with a Diploma in Human Resources; Industrial Psychology or related field
  • Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
  • Human Resources Information Systems knowledge and experience
  • Have at least 5 years' relevant experience in an HR environment, with a proven track record on a supervisory level, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Must provide proof of full COVID19 vaccination or be fully vaccinated by the date of commencement of employment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the business to define and compile workforce planning schedules/labour requirements.
  • Refine and maintain workforce planning standards and norms including productivity and efficiency metrics as primary workforce planning inputs into cyclical labour forecasting and budgeting preparation.
  • Convene cyclical workforce planning sessions, consolidate plans and processes for inclusion in costing and business planning cycles.
  • Maintain regular workforce planning, strength/vacancy analysis, and availability reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, adhoc, etc.)
  • Ensure that role profiles are current and updated as required prior to drafting role adverts for publishing.
Shortlist based on role and legislative requirements together with line.

  • Liaise with the resourcing team to ensure appropriate interview logistics are in place.
  • Coordinate assessments; screening and preemployment medicals
  • Recommend salary using the appropriate Salary Modeler (approval framework applied)
  • Create and managed onboarding programmes in partnership with the line.
  • Support the HR Department to prepare and oversee annual Performance
Management and Talent Review processes.

  • Assist and advise discipline line leaders to prepare for their annual
  • Performance and Talent Reviews including succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure that Succession planning & talent management (IDP's) are managed and in place.
  • Collaborate with the training department to ensure the availability and scheduling of relevant and suitable training interventions to bridge identified employee development gaps.
  • Highlight identified shortcomings in assessment batteries and engage with
HR functional leads to develop remedial actions.

  • Prepare and publish accurate and timely employee attendance/availability reports based on data trend analysis relating to allocated projects or regular reports that support workforce availability decisionmaking on
Absenteeism, Sick Leave, Vacancy Management, Disciplinary, etc.

  • Participate in and support the development of various leadership development and culture transformation interventions.
  • Lead various campaigns with frontline leaders and their teams designed to reinvigorate leadership and team effectiveness to embed the Rustenburg
Chrome Mine values, culture, leadership, behaviours, and performance.

  • Provide people leadership within the department by managing workload, assigning tasks, and reviewing/recognising outputs of team members.
