Description

• Assisting with stock take when required
• Picking stock for customer orders, neatly packaging orders and measuring orders for courier collections or delivery
• Checking picking slips against orders and checking physically picked stock against picking slips
• Return proof of delivery sheets completed along with customer POD's and handing the POD's to the correct department for processing / filing
• Moving heavy pallets and goods using a forklift and safely stacking goods
• Uploading and offloading goods
• Physically count and inspect goods received and checking against orders and interbranch transfers
• Inspecting goods for damage before dispatching or when receiving
• Reviewing route sheets to establish daily delivery quotas
• Loading merchandise thoughtfully to facilitate quick access and delivery
• Ensure the warehouse is clean and neat
• Stocking the shelves
• Processing faulty meters received, damaged stock or receiving meters for testing following the correct procedures
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations to ensure the safety of themselves and everyone around them (wearing PPE)

• Valid driving license, Code 10
• Clean driving history
• Valid forklift license (ideal but not a deal breaker)
• Must know how to operate a manual forklift / stacker
• Must have pallet stacking and wrapping experience
• High School Diploma
• Computer literate
• Physically strong
• Good communication and organizational skills and working as part of a team
• Experienced with receiving and dispatch functions
• Knowledgeable about relevant road weight and height restrictions
• Experience with stock take

Our tasks often overlap, and we require someone that will take on tasks outside of their job spec where required from time to time.

• Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

• Warehouse: 3 years (required)

• Drivers license Code 10 (preferred)
