    Description

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To provide support to drivers after the completion of transport drops, ensuring a seamless experience and efficient operations.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Educational Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum of 2 years experience as a clerk in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in administration and logistics
    • MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY RESULTS AREAS

    Debriefing and Administration:

    • Reconcile purchase orders, collect documentation, and manage re-deliveries according to trip sheets and proof of deliveries, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ensure each purchase order contains the correct date, full name, and signature of the Receiving Clerk, adhering to established controls and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate administration, records, and reconciliations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
    • Address any driver or delivery issues that arise during the shift, providing timely and effective solutions.
    • Manage receiving and dispatch issues promptly, minimizing delays and ensuring smooth operations.
    • Compliance:
    • Operate within established controls and procedures to maintain integrity, reporting risks or concerns to management within your operating area.
    • Promote compliance with all regulations and procedures to avoid fruitless, wasteful, and irregular expenditure, upholding the highest standards of ethics and governance.
    • Customer Service:
    • Provide assistance to employees and maintain effective working relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
    • Identify and solve problems in line with core values, prioritizing customer satisfaction and employee well-being.
    • Cost and Waste Control:
    • Help limit and control costs by minimizing damage, loss, or waste, implementing cost-saving initiatives and reducing unnecessary expenses.
    • Report incidents to the direct manager, facilitating prompt action and resolution.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE

    • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • SAP knowledge, with experience in inventory management and logistics
