    Job Summary

    The Manufacturing Shift Manager will oversee the efficient operation of production on their assigned shift, directly reporting to the Production Manager. This role requires a strong focus on quality standards and adherence to company procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure that quality standards and processes are upheld during shifts, adhering to company procedures and protocols.
    • Perform regular quality checks as per established company guidelines.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
    • Operate machinery within agreed specifications, conducting regular walkthroughs of the production area to identify areas for improvement.
    • Oversee logistics operations to guarantee timely preparation and dispatch of shipments, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
    • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to align with the production plan, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
    • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as FSSC standards, to ensure a secure working environment.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within a production or manufacturing environment is mandatory.
    • A relevant qualification is highly desirable, demonstrating expertise in manufacturing processes and machinery.
    • An in-depth understanding of the FMCG and Packaging industry is essential for success in this role.
    • Possession of reliable transportation is required to facilitate travel between sites and maintain operational efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate activities.
    • Ability to analyze problems, implement solutions, and drive process improvements.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality control measures.
