JOB PURPOSE:

knowledge of process engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments. To manage a team of process engineers.


JOB FUNCTION:


Sales and Marketing

  • Products and services are delivered to customer as per SLA
  • Divisional strategy and targets are set and managed
  • Input to technical manual for updates and tenders and enquiries as requested
  • Client processes are evaluated and changes recommended if required
  • Equipment is commissioned as required
  • Market research is conducted in designated areas
  • Presentations are delivered to customer as required
  • Product development support as required

Customer Service:


  • All client requests are responded to within 24 hours
  • Improvement areas are identified and strategies implemented for added value opportunities
  • Immediate action is taken on noncompliance issues
  • Engineering Houses are called on as required and plant visits as required with technical assistance

Test work:


  • Partner with R&D in conducting test work and reviewing reports
  • Correct flow sheet is selected from test work results

Managed Team:


  • Budgets are monitored monthly
  • Manpower capabilities for the department are planned, selected and developed
  • Company HR and Disciplinary policy is adhered to
  • Monthly and annual targets and objectives are set and agreed
  • Technical direction is provided as required
  • Objectives and targets are reviewed against standards on a quarterly basis
  • Compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements is ensured

Training/Coaching:


  • Present workshops for staff and customers as required
  • Coach and mentor staff as required

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:


  • B TECH /B ENG Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering/Mineral Processing
  • At least 8 years experience in process support in a related industry, 3 years management experience in a management role
  • Working experience with samplers and magnetics would be advantageous
  • Can build a successful team, customer focused, persuasive, can build working relationships, quality and safety orientated, coaches, shows continuous improvement and good communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel for work purposes (valid drivers licence and passport)
  • Proficient in MS Suite
