The Food and Wine Manager is responsible for developing the strategic and operational direction and annual plans for Food and Wine operations, specifically including the Kitchen and Hotel teams across the organisation.
The Food and Wine Manager works closely with the senior leadership teams of the organisation to ensure Food and Wine operations support and are aligned with the wider objectives of the organisation.
The role creates the systems and conditions that enable the Food and Wine operations to provide guests with outstanding Food and Wine services that are of exceptional quality, and aligned with the Food philosophy of the property.
The Food and Wine Manager is responsible for coordinating the development of the organisation wide annual plans for the Food and Wine operations.
The role works closely with Heads of Department and the Food and Wine leadership to ensure the implementation of plans and successful execution of the strategic intent of the Food and Wine function.
The Food and Wine Manager monitors the performance of Food and Wine operations across the organisation, ensuring that the Food and Wine team continuously develops and displays, at all times, the level of competence, professionalism, excellence, protocol and etiquette that is expected at the hotel.

Job technical Skills
- Ability to lead the Food and Wine senior teams
- Experienced in overseeing and directing multiple teams
- Experienced in selecting, motivating and guiding management team members
- Experienced in preparing organisation wide annual plans including budgets and monitoring financial performance
- Competent in correctly developing and ensuring policies, processes and standards are implemented and applied across the Food and Wine functions
- Ability to analyse and improve Food and Wine operational effectiveness and efficiencies
- Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, security and other legal requirements across Food and Wine operations
Academic Qualifications and Background
- A formal management qualification, Bachelor degree and/or diploma in hotel management, Food and Wine or other related fields
- A formal qualification in Food Safety, for example HACCP or equivalent
Work Experience
- 8 Years of experience in a luxury Food and Wine leadership role
- Demonstrated previous experience in a luxury accommodation environment
