Key duties and responsibilities:


Provide HIV Testing Services

  • Conduct HIV testing and counselling for clients at Ivan Toms and its mobile units as and when required.
  • Maintain HTS stock and supplies for individual practice space.

Provide PrEP and ART Counselling, Education, and other assessments as required by project

  • Provide counselling, education, and support services for newly initiated and returning to care clients on ART and PrEP.
  • Conduct required assessments and other project services as and when required (i.e. index testing).

Data and Admin Support

  • Complete reporting and clinical documentation for HTS, PrEP, ART, index testing, EPOA (Enhanced Peer Outreach Approach), and other assessments as required.
  • Complete additional data entry and/or cleaning.
  • Complete additional admin and/or support activities as and when required.

Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.
 Minimum qualifications, experience and skills required**:


  • A minimum of grade 1
  • HIV counselling and testing certificate.
  • 1 Year experience in HIV/AIDS counselling and testing.
  • Excellent customer service and support skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team.
  • Willing to travel to various communities for outreach as and when required.
  • Time management skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours as and when required.
