Job Characteristics:

Manage inventory and achieve required inventory levels at the defined inventory component level across network stocking locations to meet customer service levels.

Builds & maintains clear communication & cooperation with demand planning, sales, and customer service to the manufacturing operations to address supply and resolve customer service issues.

Duties:

New Product Introduction review new product design for manufacturing ease and determine potential sourcing. Coordinate plant test schedules and with the divisions support launch strategies and timing.
Product Transfers coordinate product sourcing changes with the divisions, R&D and the plants to minimize downstream issues with quality, service and costs.
Sales Forecasts respond to changes in sales forecasts and new marketing strategies.
Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
Address demandrelated issues in a timely and effective manner.
SKU Rationalization support product rationalization opportunities and coordinates with the plants the implementation of rationalization decisions.
Inventory DOH review inventory DOH and costs with divisions to assess areas for improvement. Control inventories to agreed parameters.
Optimize Operations sourcing through conducting product sourcing analyses and determining optimal supply chains. Initiate and implement Total Quality Improvement projects.
Monitor the backorder reports of the network locations on a daily basis. Prevent potential backorders by rerouting stock. Investigate and resolve existing backorders.
Consolidate and control Manufacturing Planning Key Performance Indicator data (e.g. inventory, service) to assess divisional performance.
Monitors service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery to ensure benefits are realized.
Assessing the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
Counting and tracking inventory across multiple locations.
Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
Creating inventory reports and presenting suggestions to the Supply Chain Manager.
Ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock without overcapitalizing on materials.
Suggesting changes to inventory warehousing to meet increased or reduced demand.
