WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Asset Procurement:
- Coordinate with procurement team understand the new hardware, software, and licenses based on the company's requirements.
- Track orders and ensure Asset Register has been updated.
Asset Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate and uptodate inventory of all IT assets (Workstation, Sever, Network Devices, Domains and Certificates including what's in the private cloud.
- Ensure asset attributes of all IT assets, including device name, version, location, end of life, owners etc. are maintained.
- Conduct periodic validation of assets to ensure the asset register remains up to date and accurate.
- Utilize asset management software to track and manage IT assets efficiently.
- Work with the asset owner to ensure the domains and certificates are updated before expiry.
Asset Disposal:
- Coordinate the secure disposal or recycling of retired assets in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
License Management:
- Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and company policies.
- Coordinate license renewals, upgrades, and maintenance.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports such as asset status, usage and costs.
- Forward planning of assets reaching end of life, end of license, domains and certs requiring renewals etc.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED?
- Proven experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software components including domains and certificate management.
- Familiarity with asset management software (e.g., JIRA. ServiceNow, Lansweeper).
- Ability to analyze and interpret trends from reporting data.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications (nice to have):
- CAMP (Certified Asset Management Professional)
- CITAM (Certified IT Asset Manager)
