    About the Role

    Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Southern Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.

    About You

    We are looking for an experienced Finance professional with a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management. Your expertise will help us navigate complex financial landscapes and make informed decisions that drive business success.

    Key Responsibilities

    As our ideal candidate, you will have a proven track record of:

    • Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Managing tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, provisional, and final tax
    • Reconciling accounts and preparing cash flow forecasts
    • Oversseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, general journal entries, and fixed asset management
    • Coodinating with external auditors and ensuring audit readiness
    • Maintaining compliance with financial regulations
    • Developing operational plans, budgets, and long-term forecasts
    • Supervising staff, delegating tasks, and providing guidance

    About the Team

    Requirements

    To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification
    • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within a commercial environment
    • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Advanced Formulas
    • Staff management experience
    • Ability to travel out of SA (within Southern Africa) every 2 – 3 months
