    About the role

    The candidate will provide administrative support to attorneys, reporting directly to the Director or designated host. This role is crucial for the effective functioning of the firm.

    Responsibilities

    • Draft and proofread legal documents, manage attorney calendars, including court dates, and respond to emails.
    • Conduct legal research by reviewing publications and searching databases.
    • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and materials for case presentation.
    • Generate invoices and distributions for clients, create and maintain case files, including transcripts.
    • Handle sensitive information with discretion, upholding ethical standards and communicating effectively.
    • Arrange appointments with witnesses and attend courts to take notes.
    • Act as a liaison between internal departments and external agencies.

    Requirements

    • Possess a qualification in Administration.
    • Be a South African unemployed youth aged 18-34.
    • Not have participated in the YES Program previously.
