    About Our Client

    Our client is a rapidly growing Independent Power Producer based in Cape Town, boasting a phenomenal team culture and work environment as well as a strong work hard / play hard ethic.

    Purpose of this Role

    This role involves administering and coordinating renewable projects (solar, wind, biomass, and hydro) in accordance with the requirements of our Company's quality procedures and project agreements stipulations.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    KPA's:

    General:

    • The ability to remain abreast with market and technological developments and identify new technologies that contribute towards Business development and improvements is expected.
    • Professionalism and ethics should always be demonstrated.
    • Ensuring overall compliance to all internal policy and procedures of the Company, including Corporate ESMS (Environmental, Social, Management System), IFC Standards, and Equator Principles is essential.
    • Duties must be carried out in a proper, loyal, and efficient manner, with good faith acting in best endeavors to conduct, improve, extend, develop, promote, protect, and preserve business interests, reputation, and goodwill of the Company.
    • If unable to perform duties or responsibilities lawfully, any information leading to this must be disclosed to the Employer immediately.

    Transaction and Execution Phases:

    • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information in support of the Project Manager and Head of PPCM.
    • Liaise with relevant teams to define requirements, scope, and objectives.
    • Prepare budgets for approval.
    • Support the Project Manager or Head of PPCM in overseeing project procurement management.
    • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all team members.
    • Work with the Project Manager or Head of PPCM to eliminate blockers and optimize project workflows.
    • Utilize tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
    • Issue legal paperwork such as contracts and terms of agreement as required.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports within the applicable document management system and Company procedures.

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    Requirements for this role include:

    • A BSc in Business Administration or similar is preferred.
    • A Grade 12 Certificate is necessary.
    • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role is essential.
    • Experience in Project Management from conception to delivery is advantageous.
    • South African citizenship is preferred.

    Technical and Behavioral competencies include:

    • The ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
    • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
    • Strong teamwork skills are necessary.
    • Familiarity with risk management and quality control processes.
    • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
