DURBAN

Sal circa 80k per month plus med aid and Provident fund (highly negotiable)

Exciting role for an experienced WAREHOUSE GM to work for a joint venture between two international maritime companies.5,000 m2 bonded Warehouse with a 40,000 m2 yard making it one of the largest depots in Durban with an active rail siding.

The role reports directly to EXCO.

Essential Experience

Operations

Strategically manage the entire Warehouse Function.
Ensure implementation of all Operational Policies and Procedures, and introduce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) where necessary
Responsible for Occupational Health and Safety. (OHS)
Implementation and maintenance of equipment and ensure the effective and safe use of Warehouse equipment.
Complete the entire process for claims and or damages, and report to EXCO on the steps to alleviate future claims and or damages.
Ensure stock levels of all cargo are accounted for on a continuous basis by use of the relevant systems.

People Management

Introduce, implement staff performance reviews.
Introduce, implement, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with customers and transporters.
