About This Opportunity

We are seeking two Senior Data Engineers to join our team in Rivonia on a contract basis. The successful candidates will work with our global tech firm, leveraging their expertise to drive business growth and innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data constructs, as well as the ability to interpret and make data an asset for our ventures. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing infrastructure for data generation, building optimal data pipeline architectures, and ensuring seamless data availability to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of data constructs and interpretation.
Makes data an asset by creating actionable insights into key business performance metrics.
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to support business requirements.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business needs.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to optimize data infrastructure.
Build the necessary infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
Maintain data security and integrity across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.
Design and develop data tools for analytics and data scientist teams to support product optimization.
Work closely with data and analytics experts to enhance functionality in our data systems.

Qualifications

NQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Minimum 10 years of practical development experience.

Required Technical Exposure

Advanced SQL skills.
Expertise in advanced data analysis and database management.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance principles.
Proficiency in Back-end development using MSSQL and Azure Abinitio/Connect Direct, Denodo.
Knowledge of Loan IQ and extensive experience in data analysis and modeling.
