This role must drive business value creation across the CO&O estate


As commercial business partner, you will be the finance contact to work with the business in order to achieve its financial objectives through financial analysis as well as business insights and solutions.

You will also be providing finance expertise in new business initiatives and developments in the organization.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Clear Credit Record
  • Driver's License
  • 3 years' experience in a reporting environment or analytical function

Knowledge
Knowledge of an accounting package - not specified (Advanced)

  • Knowledge and understanding of VAT including completion and submission (Intermediate)
  • Knowledge of accounting (Advanced)

Duties and Responsibilities:


Tactical and Strategic commercial guidance, and stakeholder relationship management

  • Work closely with the

Financial Controller:
Restaurants, to ensure accuracy and completeness of Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)

  • Understand and monitor CO&O Restaurant profitability in line with agreed profitability measures and provide regular updates and reports on status of profitability
  • Partner with Area Managers to execute on recommended corrective action or opportunities in CO&O Restaurants
  • Analyse and make recommendations on all aspects of business to ensure cross functional and business communication to deliver a coordinated approach.
  • Provide regular agreed commercial financial information to the business.
  • Review and advise commercial partners on internal control and risk management methodologies to effectively control, manage and report on spend against agreed budgets
  • Discover new ways to reduce the cost structure through a range of approaches, including: the strategic redesign of services and their costs; the use of business and operational process improvements; the smarter use of supply (through outsourcing, cosourcing and insourcing where appropriate); and improved asset management.

Business performance management

  • Supports performance culture that delivers results through rigorous challenge, disciplined execution, and continual improvement.
  • Manage the improvement of corporate and service performance by ensuring that resources are targeted on business priorities and meeting internal stakeholder and shareholder needs
  • Entrench the role as an integral part of regional team, taking the lead in aligning various commercial functions to work towards a common goal of value creation
  • Attend key commercially orientated meetings giving team support and challenge as appropriate.
