Job Title:
Experienced Fitter & Turner (2 vacancies)

Job Type:
Permanent (with a 3 months' probation period)

Location:
Killarney Gardens, Cape Town - must already reside in Cape Town

Salary:
R15 000 to R18 000 Nett per month (dependant on experience)

Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 08h00 - 17h00 / Friday 08h00 to 15h00 / Saturdays applicable with required / Overtime (applicable)

Overview:

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Set up and operate conventional machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
Fabricate and assemble parts to create precision components.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to achieve project goals.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet industry standards.
Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Fitter and Turner.
Red Seal certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Previous experience in the manufacturing and maintenance sector is highly desirable.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
