    Occupational Health Nurse Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to work with a national manufacturing concern.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting staff from work-related and environmental hazards.

    A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all necessary health and safety programs and services are available to employees.

    The Occupational Health Nurse will also travel to branches across the country.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement health and safety programs to promote a safe working environment.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Provide medical screening and health surveillance to employees.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders to promote a healthy workplace culture.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as an Occupational Health Practitioner.
    • Registered Nurse with SANC registration.
    • Demand for a dispensing license.
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
    • Excellent organisational skills, ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
    • Strong client service skills, active listening, sensitivity, attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills (writing and verbal).
    • Able to work well under pressure.
    • Clean driving record required.
