    Job Title: Showroom Consultant - Luxury High End Finishings & Furnishings / Interior Design

    Location: Parkhurst, Johannesburg/South Africa

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess customer needs and promote relevant products.
    • Maintain exceptional product knowledge to provide expert advice.
    • Meet sales targets and manage backorders efficiently.
    • Foster client relationships and invite them to view new product ranges.
    • Create visually appealing showroom displays.
    • Ensure accurate product tagging and pricing.
    • Oversee management of old, slow-moving, or damaged stock.
    • Perform opening and closing procedures as necessary.
    • Manage outgoing samples and update sample books in a timely manner.
    • Place daily stock orders and verify delivery receipts.
    • Report stock shortages and communicate with clients for order collection.
    • Process and pack additional products promptly.
    • Inspect and receive consignment deliveries.
    • Accurately file invoices and waybills.
    • Facilitate client order collection and process credits.
    • Conduct monthly stock takes of sample books and hangers.
    • Manage hanger samples and issue marked cuttings as required.
    • Maintain minimum book stock on the floor and effectively manage the appro system.
    • Coordinate events by sending invitations and tracking RSVPs.
    • Book venues and catering, hire equipment, and manage expenses accordingly.
    • Provide cuttings, samples, and appro's upon request.
    • Address queries from sales consultants and their clients in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Resolve payment queries and collect COD payments.
    • Operate the POS system and reconcile invoices daily.
    • Resolve account queries prior to processing sales.

    Requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate; tertiary qualification advantageous.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in showroom sales; interior decor/design and retail experience beneficial.
    • Sales, customer service, product knowledge, negotiation, presentation, database management, POS systems, stock control, campaign implementation, branding, report writing, MS Office.
    • Fluent in English and one other South African language (dependent on location).
