Purpose of the Job:


To monitor and document all operational activities in relation to trading deal in the Supply Chain system (Allegro) and ensure efficient document management in line with business processes in support of Commercial Trade Product Operators to ensure efficient delivery of operations.


What you'll have done before:

Baseline

NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Maritime Law/ Import & Export Control/ Supply/ Logistics)

3 years' experience in Trading, Shipping Supply/ Logistics Operations function

Knowledge of Allegro system

Advantageous

A Bachelor Degree or similar

5 years relevant experience


What you'll be doing:


  • PHYSICAL TRADES SCHEDULING & OPERATIONS
  • Plan physical movements and create shipments for all trading deals
  • Capture information per the Business Process (documents, agents, dates, quantities etc)
  • Capture all documents required to support claims, payments and disputes
  • Set up the calendar events for the settlement of a primary or secondary fees (Bill of Lading; NOR, etc)
  • Set importer/ exporter of record flags to trigger the correct calculation of DAS, VAT and other taxes, duties and levies
  • Update the actual quantity and quality on each shipment
DATA INTERGRITY & REPORTING- Report on Allegro system data capturing status to management monthly

  • Submit and highlight deviations to Allegro system deadlines and policies to management and highlight deviations to processes
  • Review and respond to audit queries on Allegro entries for Trading Operations (Operators)
  • Set reporting controls to assist with accuracy and timely capturing of Allegro information
  • Capture operator fee estimates and recover secondary fees
  • Validate and actualize fee estimates
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT- Provide assistance on any gaps in contracts that are identified when capturing information in Allegro

CUSTOMER & SERVICE PROVIDER INTERFACE- Interact with customers and service providers to ensure deliverables are met within agreed SLA's
