    About The Role

    In Business Transformation at FTI Consulting, we address our clients' strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by tackling performance, financial, and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders.

    Our services include strategic planning, profitability improvement, merger integration, carve-out, and pre-deal commercial and operational due diligence, including interim management. Our demanding customer base relies on small, experienced senior teams.

    Business Transformation works closely with the FTI Corporate Finance practice and colleagues in Restructuring, Transactions Services, Tax, and Digital Science teams, offering a holistic solution for clients and a rewarding experience for staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Financial and operational modeling
    2. Operational analysis (e.g., OEE assessment, FTE benchmark)
    3. Company financial analysis
    4. Market analysis
    5. Strategy formulation
    6. Upside/downside potential identification
    7. Implementable improvement plans development
    8. Carve-out and integration planning
    9. Private equity due diligence reports
    10. Programme management and implementation support
    11. Presentation and report writing
    12. Client/internal meeting participation

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
    • Some consulting or industry experience preferred
    • Project experience in high-paced environments focused on rapid results (e.g., turnaround, due diligence)
    • Results delivery across functions in focus areas such as:
    • Performance improvement, ideally turnaround, including diagnosis
    • Operations
    • Business plan review/development
    • Implementation
    • Market assessment
    • Transactions
  • Excellent consulting skills, including:
    • Proven ability to take a hypothesis-focused approach to solve problems from first principles
    • Strong Excel-based analytic and modeling skills
    • Verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with team members and clients at all levels
    • Relationship building skills and flexibility to work across sectors and project types
  • Basic knowledge of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet
  • Familiarity with market trends and developments
  • Highly numerate with the ability to absorb and assimilate complex information
  • Flexible approach to work, with the desire and capability to learn and grow
  • Computer literate with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
