Unit Manager - Human Resources - Mining

Are you a seasoned Human Resources expert searching for a thrilling opportunity in the vibrant mining sector? Your quest ends here! Our customer, a top mining corporation, is on the lookout for a highly skilled and driven Unit Manager to lead their Human Resources team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal Human resources availability within production sections.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and take necessary corrective actions for compliance.
  • Develop and implement action plans promptly for continuous goal attainment.
  • Support site initiatives for a Zero Harm Culture and employee Wellbeing.
  • Report operationally to the Senior Manager Operations and functionally to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Manage Human Capital effectively.
  • Provide ongoing communication and expert advice to enhance value and productivity.
  • Focus on Human Resources Development, Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Selection, and Staffing.

Minimum Required Qualification

  • Level 7: Bachelor's Degree and Advanced Diplomas in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies.
  • 5-8 years' experience in Human Resources or similar role.
  • Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and well-organized work method.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • NQF 8 Postgraduate Diploma/Honours Degree/Professional Qualification in Human Resources/Employee Relations or related field.
  • Professional registration e.g. SABPP.
  • Qualification in Labour Law.
  • Established network of professional contacts within and outside the company.

Salary: Market Related
