Junior Production Planner

Job description:

The primary responsibility of the junior production planner is to assist the production planner with organizing production according to demand and quality.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Capacity planning,
• Scheduling of production dealing with customers' requests/requirements issued by sales teams for make to stock (MTS) purposes.
• Assist to guarantee that goods will be produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
• To work closely with senior production manager
• Scheduling product lines,
• Meet and changing monthly forecasts and managing inventory levels and schedules.
• Reviewing and acting upon order release and exception messages generated, as well as coordinating bills of materials in an MRP environment.
• Responsible for production workflow for one or multiple products
• Designing weekly manufacturing plan to meet target load objectives and satisfying the organizations inventory goals.
• Furnish the sales team with leadtime information to enable them to appropriately handle customers.
• Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders.
• Create and implement integrated systems for carrying out production processes, such as quality and inventory control, human work factors, and cost analysis
• Coordinate teams sites for ontime delivery of products.
• Provide initiatives for continuous production and engineering improvement.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Good understanding of production operations and Quality System Procedures
• Computer skills: To carry out the duties of a production planner successfully.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Excel
• Require influencing skills to be able to motivate and influence the production team towards attaining set targets.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills for free flow of information while executing their job.
• Have project management skills, including exceptional communication, leadership, and risk management skills.
• Experience in a Textile Manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

• A National Degree with preference in clothing manufacturing, planning or any other management or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in clothing manufacturing production planning, clothing supply chain or similar/related environment
