UV Operator

Location:
Underground Manganese Mine, South Africa


Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled UV (Utility Vehicle) Operator to join our team at our underground manganese mine in South Africa.

The UV Operator will be responsible for transporting materials within the mine safely.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Operate an UV machine to transport materials within the underground mine.
  • Conduct preoperational equipment checks and routine maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the mine's logistics team to optimize material transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of UV activities and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications Required:


  • Matriculated or Equivalent
  • UV (Fermel) Certificate
  • At least 2 years' experience as a UV Operator
  • Dover A result
  • Operator's license
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground mining.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces and challenging underground conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary:
R12,000.00 per month


Education:


  • High School (matric) (preferred)

Experience:


  • UV operating: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • Dover A result
(required)

  • UV (Fermel) Certificate
(required)


Ability to Commute:

  • Centurion, Gauteng (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Centurion, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (required)
