**Job Description**
As a Financial Planning Director, you will be responsible for:
* Providing overall leadership and direction to the strategic financial planning department
* Shaping and implementing the financial strategy, developing plans, analyzing data, and aligning goals to achieve the organization's objectives
* Monitoring and evaluating financial performance, and providing continuous reporting to various committees
* Developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts, and budgets
* Analyzing industry and market trends to inform business decisions
* Providing predictive analysis and forecasting to provide valuable insights and recommendations
* Providing accurate and timely financial services, including setting and monitoring budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, and management and financial accounts
* Participating in strategy formulation and implementation for the Financial Management Strategy
* Ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to
* Effectively formulating and implementing systems and procedures to ensure compliance and provide innovative solutions to take the business forward
* Providing effective management and leadership to direct reports and the team
* Ensuring that there are no significant new or repeat audit findings
* Defining and implementing strategic objectives of the department
**Requirements**
* Postgraduate qualification in finance or a related field (CA (SA) or equivalent)
* MBA would be advantageous
* Proven management experience
* Knowledge of IFRS, Tax, Auditing, and PFMA
* Strong commercial awareness
* Strong financial statement analysis skills
* Ability to demonstrate a high degree of integrity
* Excellent presentation skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint at an advanced level
* Practical knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage
* Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while building effective relationships
