Summary of position
The ISO/OHS Administrator is the key co-ordinator for the development of the quality and OHS system and assumes responsibility for on-going system maintenance and effectiveness of operation and roll out of Head Office initiatives.
Summary of duties
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues.
- Keep necessary stats.
- Provide support to the NCR process.
- Facilitate Monthly ISO/OHS Management meetings.
- Conduct safety, quality and environmental system compliance audits.
- OHS.
- Ensure Quality Management System processes are "established, implemented and maintained"
- Report to "management" on the QMS performance and where improvements are needed.
- Coordinate, evaluate, and assist in developing action plans and follow up of quality issues.
- Manage, coordinate, evaluate, assist, and resolve customer complaints, the process and quality issues.
- Coordinate and host audits and inspections.
- Interpret and implement quality assurance standards.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify training needs to meet quality standards.
- Monitor risk management activities

- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- OHS.
- Manage the proper storage and filing of controlled documents.
- Supervision of the calibration process.
- Management of product calibration.
- Prepare and submit monthly management reports.
- Lead companywide effort for achieving ISO certification.
- Train all company personnel in the documented company ISO policies.
- Identify relevant legislative requirements.
- OHS.
- Ongoing management of Quality systems, processes, and procedures.
- Management System and ISO compliance, including current problems and prescribed resolution.
- Manage, plan and execute safety audits and inspections, fire drills and check all signage are legally correct.
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- The role will involve conducting quality audits and ensure the company complies with all required standards i.e. ISO procedures and OHS Legislation.
- Keep OHS Management Policy and Plan updated.
- Handle all IOD's, reporting and finalisation thereof.
- Ensure Corporate clothing, PPE and related products are managed and employees adhere to all PPE safety requirements.
Education and Experience
Years Quality specific experience including qualification is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in quality management is essential.
- Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Lead Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma.
- Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience is essential.
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
- Similar Product or industryspecific experience.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO/OHS Legislation is essential.

- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Industrial hose products an advantage.
- Valid driver's license.

Special Requirements
- Must reside in Gauteng.
