- Increase profitability and effectiveness of the contract by maintaining optimal stock levels of rock tools required by the customer.
- Investigate shortcomings in issuing stock and receiving for any deviations or inconsistencies.
- Implement housekeeping as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with planning and managing the counting cycle to satisfy internal control requirements.
- Conduct regular rock tools product testing as required.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and implement new products and technology innovations.
- Analyze all Sandvik rock tools returned by the customer operator for exchange to determine the cause of failure.
- Complete or write out a failure analysis report for every rock tool product examined.
- Conduct regular scrap analysis and ad hoc investigations, to determine reason/s for premature product failure and make recommendations to customer representatives as to how to minimize or prevent such in the future.
- Conduct regular rig and/or bolter and Operator evaluations, to prevent premature product failure and make recommendations to the customer.
- Record and share pertinent information with the designated customer representative after conducting a discard analysis on all Sandvik rock tools.
- Coordinate invoice sign-off process by the mine representatives in a timely manner and submit signed-off invoices to the Finance department of the customer as per requirement.
- Attend customer meetings as and when required.
- Grade 12 /equivalent qualification
- Certificate/Diploma in Logistics Management (advantageous).
- At least 1 year of Management/Supervisory experience
- At least 2 years of stock management experience in a mining environment
- Good understanding of drilling equipment and drill consumables
- Experience and technical knowledge required in the following: Mining operations Rock tools applications Drill rig operations
- At least 2 years experience in trackless mining.
- Physical and medical ability to function in a mining environment.
- Strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) focus
- Computer literacy
- English proficiency
- Valid driver's license
- Valid Competent B Certificate
