    Description

    Job Title: Financial Manager

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Smith-Garb. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting and group accounting for various entities within the business.

    Main Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

    1. Financial Accounting and Reporting: Manage the company's financial accounting, including preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
    2. Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    3. Client Liaison: Liaise with clients regarding invoicing, payment schedules, and other financial matters.
    4. Account Management: Manage the company's accounts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
    5. Tax and VAT Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax and VAT regulations, including calculations, submissions, and payments.
    6. Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll administration for 35 permanent staff members and varying contract/temporary staff.

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting/Finance degree and excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
