Food and Beverage Manager

As an inspiring, empowering and results-orientated Food and beverage Manager, you lead with a passion for service excellence whilst maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals.


While translating the business strategic priorities into F&B divisional strategy, goals & objectives, you will manage the F&B footprint, which includes all restaurant outlets, beverage, room service and conferencing & events operations.


Leading the team to deliver outstanding guest and staff service experiences and performance, you will manage the F&B budget and achieve operational profitability by driving sales targets and managing costs.

Aligning the food and beverage menu offerings, promotions and events with the F&B strategy and customer goals, will form part of your role.


You will also set and maintain food and beverage service standards and processes, ensuring all staff are trained and can offer world-class service to our guests.

Leading a large team of people, you will build teamwork and personal accountability, thereby promoting staff engagement retention and succession plans.


Managing staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance and conduct, and key supplier relationships aligned to the delivery of F&B divisional strategy, will form part of your duties.


You have a Matric Certificate
with a relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution
and 5 years' experience in an F&B Manager role in a busy, high-demand environment
. Cape Wine academy,
WSET or Cocktail Bar courses
, will set you apart from the rest. An experienced leader**, you have a proven track record in executing operations across multiple restaurants, conferencing and events.


Your
strong F&B operational background with experience (budgeting & expense control, workforce planning & rostering, trainee coordination & management, stock monitoring, IR, recruitment & selection, supplier management, daily administration, hygiene & pest control, restaurant management, etc.) at senior level, will see you far in this role.

You are a proactive and decisive individual who prides yourself on your excellent communication skills and solid financial acumen. You are innovative, quality-focused, and have a keen market orientation.


In addition to your strategic insight, planning, and implementation strengths, your excellent knowledge of food and beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits will be crucial in this role.

Your own transport is a must, as is a strong command of technology, particularly with platforms such as micros / speed point machines and MS 365.
