Groups and Events Coordinator - Hotel in Cape Town


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate all aspects of groups and events, including planning, organizing, and executing events from start to finish
  • Ensure that all aspects of events are wellplanned, including catering, transportation, accommodations, and entertainment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Attend to guests' needs and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote and sell our services
  • Manage the budget for each event and ensure that expenses are within the allocated budget
  • Ensure that all documentation, including contracts, agreements, and invoices, are prepared and processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all events are executed in compliance with hotel policies and procedures
  • Provide support to other hotel departments when needed

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Groups and Events Coordinator in a 4/5* hotel
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred

Salary:
R18,500.00 per month
