    Job Description

    We are looking for a Head of Studio to join our agency team in Johannesburg, to work as part of our Creative department, responsible for the management of a multiple creative talents across a wide range of skillsets.

    The Head of Studio will be responsible for:

  • Management of creative resource across the creative studio
  • Taking the lead on key projects
  • Instilling best practice creative principles through mentorship, guidance, oversight of projects and creative reviews
  • Helping to build the creative culture of NESCAFÉ Content Café
  • Specific Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting creatives across the NESCAFÉ Content Café.
  • Integrating with the senior management team
  • Be able to work methodically and according to brief and brand specifications
  • Be able break down brief requirements and timeously flag any potential issues that may arise
  • Create presentation decks to showcase work
  • Be able to collect and file artwork work correctly for archiving and handovers
  • Identify areas of opportunity with regard to efficiencies, AI integration and operational systems
  • Business & technical skills:

  • Good technical understanding for outputting files in the correct format, size (data and dimensions) with visual accuracy
  • Be well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects etc.
  • Superb inter-personal skills and a passion for creating high quality content
  • Strong understanding of various content outputs (BTL, Digital/website and ATL)
  • Passion for detail and implementing CI guidelines, with the ability and agility to switch between multiple brands
  • Strong time management and self-management skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Apple Mac literate.
  • Qualifications

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years design experience and must have managed creative teams at scale The following attributes are also essential:
  • A Tertiary Graphic/Art/Advertising/Design qualification is preferred.
  • Have an existing up to date online portfolio or showreel to demonstrate abilities.
