    Job Summary

    HandPicked Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale commercial solar projects from inception through completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver PV installation projects from execution to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
    • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with senior management, focusing on cost optimization and efficient project execution.
    • Oversee on-site construction activities, liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, resolve issues, and manage subcontractor performance.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or obstacles, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track, ensuring quality workmanship meets project requirements and industry standards.
    • Assist in tracking project expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization, maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, change orders, and correspondence with stakeholders.
    • Communicate regularly with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure compliance with regulations, minimizing ecological impacts and ensuring environmental compliance.

    Requirements

    • 4+ years working experience within a solar, electrical, and/or construction industry.
    • Tertiary education in a relevant field would be highly beneficial.
    • Experience working on simultaneous projects/sites at a time, dealing with sub-contractors (from inception to handover).
    • Travelling to various sites (rotation of sites).
    • Excellent communication skills on all levels.
    • Computer literate (emails and excel).
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
