Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in logistics solutions and services in Southern Africa? Our client is dedicated to bringing customers closer to the global marketplace and believes that excellent customer service is the key to success in the service industry.

As a Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and contacting prospective customers and suppliers.

You will negotiate sales deals and rates with customers and suppliers while ensuring that budget and margin targets are met.

You will proactively communicate with suppliers to transport goods effectively and efficiently to customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including regular visits.
  • Negotiating new contracts.
  • Negotiate transport rates with clients and transporters.
  • Manage volumes allocated to the company.
  • Understand the running cost of a vehicle to determine CPK's.
  • Analyse commodity trends and adapt to market fluctuations.
  • Keep track of the daily and monthly budgets.
  • Adding new clients and transporters to our existing book.

Qualifications:


  • Matric qualification.
  • A relevant qualification required.

Competencies:


  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and to build relationships.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Organised and keeping track of transactions.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Prepared to solve problems after hours.
  • Prepared to travel.

Remuneration:


  • Industryrelated basic salary dependent on experience.
  • Commission on targets achieved.
