    Our client based in the Umhlali area is seeking a Social Media Specialist to enhance their brand presence. The ideal candidate will create and implement effective social media strategies to boost visibility, engage audiences, and drive activity for all clubs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategy Development
      • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to align with the company's broader marketing objectives.
      • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance social media performance.
      • Build and maintain the company's brand within the industry through creative and data-driven approaches.
      • Collaborate with operations, regional, and club managers to develop close relationships and understand club-specific social media requirements.
      • Continuously monitor SA competitor sites and communications for insights and opportunities.
    • Content Creation
      • Develop, curate, and schedule high-quality content (posts, images, videos, stories, reels, etc.) tailored to each platform for the clubs.
      • Write compelling and on-brand copy for social media posts and captions that resonate with diverse audiences.
      • Collaborate with design and content teams to produce engaging multimedia content that drives results.
    • Community and Club Management
      • Monitor and respond to online community interactions, including comments, messages, and reviews from club members/players in a timely and professional manner.
      • Foster meaningful relationships with followers, influencers, and brand advocates to amplify the brand's reach and impact.
      • Address customer inquiries or escalate them to relevant departments when necessary.
    • Analytics and Reporting
      • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools to inform data-driven decisions.
      • Use insights to optimize strategies, identify trends, and measure return on investment (ROI).
      • Evaluate and implement effective social media advertising campaigns.
    • Campaign Management
      • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including setting budgets, targeting audiences, and optimizing performance.
      • Collaborate with external partners when necessary to coordinate campaigns and ensure successful outcomes.
      • Manage and update the website and LinkedIn profile to maintain a strong online presence.
    • Collaboration
      • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand alignment.
      • Assist with cross-promotional activities and events to drive engagement and conversions.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
      • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
      • Strong portfolio of past campaigns or content (include examples during the application process).
      • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
      • Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later).
      • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite).
      • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Graphic design and copywriting exposure.
      • Good communication.
      • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
      • Experience with influencer marketing.
      • Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas.
      Work Environment:
      • Full-time position, working on-site.
      • Occasional travel or after-hours work for events may be required.
